Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Radiology certified with CAQ and completion of fellowship training in interventional radiology or completion of a residency in interventional radiology is required.Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during procedures and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties. Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition, the candidate will prepare learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review.Clinical responsibilities may include performing minimally invasive image-guided interventional procedures as well as performing and/overseeing interventional studies and consultations with patients and referring physicians. The successful candidate will also participate in the Interventional Radiology off-hours on call program, including evening, night and weekend coverage.Research or scholarship responsibilities may include supporting the research efforts of the Division of Interventional Radiology without having to be the primary investigator.The applicant will have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) or equivalent, must be board-certified or eligible in diagnostic radiology, and have completed a formal fellowship in Pediatric Interventional Radiology or equivalent training or experience. Fellowship training in pediatric radiology or demonstration of equivalent experience is a plus.Expertise is required in the specific area of Clinical Pediatric Interventional Radiology.The Department of Radiology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia consists of over 500 dedicated medical staff specializing in pediatric radiology. Our team provides clinical services across various divisions, including Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, and Body Imaging (with subspecialties in areas like musculoskeletal imaging, emergency radiology, and oncologic imaging). Annually, our Diagnostic Radiology Department handles more than 250,000 cases. We actively engage in cutting-edge research using technologies such as Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS), 3T MR imaging, PET/CT, and Magnetoencephalography. Additionally, our state-of-the-art translational research building supports research across radiology modalities
