We are a leading supplier to all of State College’s regional contractors. Our territory is Centre County and surrounding areas +/- 70 miles.
Your responsibility is to answer the phone to process customer pickups and deliveries, manage that the paperwork for the branch is complete, inventory is straight, everything received and receipted in correctly. It's industrial supply, and we use the common P21 simple software. Daily tasks include handling customer inquiries, processing orders, managing inventory, inspecting materials, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Overseeing the warehouse/driver person's activities and paperwork get booked in the computer consistently and correctly.
We normally get as many as 20 walk ins during the day, but the flow is normally pretty steady between walk ins and the phone.
The ideal candidate will also work closely with management and tech to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Skills in inventory management computers, good typing helps, quick keys
Knowledge of how to hang pipe and conduit, good common sense with basic drawings
Proficiency in CRM, email, finding the right item in the computer system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Prior experience in the construction or related industries is advantageous
Additional technical education is a plus
Must be a self-starter, ambitious, and hardworking. Confidence in communicating and engaging with people. 2-3 years construction counter experience preferred. Computer skills: Email, Excel, Word, and our easy and fast standard computer system.
You will be provided with additional in-house training to learn Construction Tool Service computer systems and customer service policies and procedures. You will be working with the delivery driver and outside sales. Visits to you by CTS management and manufacturer’s representatives will help introduce you to what we support and the manufacturer’s product offerings.
You will be the reliable inside staff who is knowledgeable of the customers and the sites, we are not a new company, and clients come to us for our key brands. We must do a good job of letting them know what we have available, and coming through on the order.
Our clients are general, mechanical, electrical and HVAC clients. We represent 3M Firestopping, DeWalt, Ridgid, Milwaukee, Greenlee, Klein, PIP Safety and more. Hanging and fastening is our specialty, along with engineered firestopping systems and specified mechanical fastening.

Requirements
Computer skills: Email, research ability, vendor portals and our fairly easy standard big computer that runs the show.
Excellent order entry and call management skills
Pre-employment, background and driver record check require
High school diploma (or equivalent), advanced diploma a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
Desire to learn of the local construction market
Must be an excellent communicator, work closely with our staff at the branch

Socially astute to know where you can bring value to the customer
Background experience in construction products or a willingness to learn about products in our wheelhouse of brands quickly
