Job Title:Loan Documentation Specialist IReports to:Loan Documentation ManagerDepartment:Loan OperationsJob Classification:Non-ExemptDirect Reports:N/AMain Function Summary:The Loan Documentation Specialist I is responsible for the quality control review and documenting of Commercial and Agricultural loans in compliance with state and Federal Laws and Bank of Bird-in-Hand's Lending policies and procedures. The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for all operations related thereto.Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Two or more years of experience in preparing or processing loans.

Problem solving and decision-making skills.

Intermediate keyboarding skills.

Moderately complex math skills.

Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.

Ability to create written materials.

Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.

Job Description:Essential Duties

Review Credit Presentation Summary, Credit Quest Memos, and Closing Request Form.

Review searches for accuracy of ownership of collateral and lien information.

Review customer identification for accuracy, including business entity documentation.

Organize documents in eFile per guidelines, removing duplicate items.

Complete the Pre-closing Checklist and Document Checklist.

Prepare closing documents in LaserPro.

Prepare unsecured and UCC secured commercial/agricultural loans.

Prepare loan payoffs, assess applicable satisfaction fees to loans, restrict and set lines of credit to close at a zero balance, place alert messages on loans.

Calculate loan fees and prepare a Funding Worksheet.

Maintain a Loans in Process spreadsheet for loan tracking.

Print and review for accuracy loan settlement packages.

Print loan disbursement checks and input wire requests in SilverLake.

Communicate with outside vendors, including but not limited to insurance agents and property search vendors.

Review hazard insurance for adequate coverage and mortgagee/loss payee clause(s) and collaborate with Lenders' Assistants, Lenders, and insurance agents to resolve any discrepancies.

Assist with preparing real estate secured loans (non-title insured).

Assist with reviewing loan file for HMDA reportability and complete the HMDA Worksheet as applicable.

Assist with reviewing flood insurance and verify all Bank requirements for flood insurance are met.

Assist with preparing documentation for loans with alternate payments.

Assist with loan operations, projects, research and & data entry.

Assist Loan Documentation Specialist II with title insured loans as needed.

Perform other duties as required.
