Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionPOSITION DESCRIPTION

Oversee an extrusion machine that applies a plastic coating to bare copper wire or copper coaxial cable used in data transfer and communication.

Set up the machine correctly for the product being produced.

Use basic hand tools to switch and adjust tooling as needed.

Monitor raw materials, ensure proper flow and supply, and quickly identify and resolve issues to maintain efficient and accurate product flow.

Conduct periodic quality checks using measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure product specifications.

Follow a set Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and a Master Sheet for product scheduling and a Process Sheet for material processing instructions.

Pay close attention to detail, take measurements to ensure quality, and document results on a computer.

Manage time effectively, moving from station to station to load/unload spools and manage the operation.

Job TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in New Holland, Pennsylvania.Work EnvironmentVery clean, climate-controlled production facility, though it can get warm. Safety-toed boots or shoes are required at all times. A dress code is enforced. Contractors work 12-hour shifts and are paid for all 12 hours. Breaks are provided by a relief person. Shifts allow for 4 nights off one week and 3 nights off the next.
