Senior Program Manager, Transit and Rail

AECOM is actively seeking a driven, attentive Program Manager for immediate employment with AECOM’s East Region Class I Railroad Team. This individual will work remotely, reporting to AECOM’s Mechanicsburg, PA office, and supporting AECOM’s Class I Railroad Public Improvements team on various projects. This role offers the ability to grow into a task leadership role with additional responsibilities.Manages complex, large-scale projects with significant scope and budget, overseeing all aspects of project lifecycle from initiation to closureDevelops and implements project management methodologies and best practices to ensure consistent delivery across multiple projectsActs independently as the IE representative, collaborating with consulting firms to align deliverables with original scope and budget requirementsConducts regular risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies to address potential issues that may impact project successManages projects with great complexity, including multi-disciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groupsProvides leadership and mentorship to direct reports, fostering their professional development and enhancing team performanceResponsible for development and execution of AECOM's strategic plan related to Class I Rail and similar clientsSupports and delivers capital design projects throughout the East Region and US, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectationsDevelops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teamsPrepares and presents comprehensive project status reports to senior management and clients, highlighting progress, issues, and recommendationsManages project budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reportingEnsures compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and AECOM policiesIdentifies and pursues new business opportunities within the program management domain, contributing to the company's growth objectivesFacilitates knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across project teams and the wider organizationParticipates in industry events and professional development activities to stay current with emerging trends and technologies in program management
