Perform ongoing monitoring of operations, responding to security incidents as they occur.
Triaging and escalating security related service desk tickets.
Assist in the development and testing of security procedures and playbooks.
Assists with design, implementation, and monitoring of cyber security systems.
Perform system and network monitoring for security threats.
Work with the cyber and IT team to perform vulnerability assessments and remediations.
Cybersecurity research - conducts research and training to maintain and develop staff readiness and user awareness with respect to cyber-attack trends and methods.
Assists with the evaluation of network architectures, storage architectures, hosted web applications hardware/software configurations, and new technologies for security vulnerabilities and impacts.
Assists with creation of IT security policies and provides security documentation for awareness purposes.
May lead or support design, analysis, deployment, support, and administration for a variety of cyber security systems and applications.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in an Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity discipline plus 0-2 years of related experience
Linux, Windows, and Mac Operating System experience.
Possess an understanding of network and application-based attack trends and defense methods.
Operating System hardening, computer incident response, vulnerability assessment and security patch management.
Knowledge of penetration testing, network security, and the techniques used to expose and correct security flaws
Demonstrate a broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and IDS/IDPs
Experience with security tools such as network sniffers, vulnerability assessment tools and log file analysis is considered a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstration of analytical and logical mindset
CompTIA or ISC2 certifications
