In the capacity of a Youth Development Counselor Supervisor, you will oversee both professional and nonprofessional staff engaged in delivering rehabilitative treatment, educational initiatives, recreational activities, and social development programs, all in alignment with the policies set forth by the Department of Human Services, Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services, and the agency.You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both staff and residents by upholding order and discipline through the application of the least restrictive intervention methods. Full-time employment
This position requires shift work in a 24/7/365 operation, including holidays and weekends, 8-hour shifts with no duty-free lunch. Shifts normally consist of 7:00 AM to 3:00PM, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 5-day work week with 2 days off. May change based on operational needs.
This position requires travel and overtime as needed
You must be willing to accept employment at Youth Forestry Camp #3, Huntingdon County.
Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $70,6666 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as a Youth Development Counselor; or
One year of professional counseling experience with delinquent, pre- delinquent, or socially maladjusted youth in an organized program, and a bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, special education, juvenile delinquency or criminal justice; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which included one year of professional counseling experience in the care, custody, supervision, activities, leadership or personal guidance of delinquent, pre- delinquent or socially maladjusted youth in an organized program.Other Requirements:
PA residency requirementis currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
