The primary role of the Machinist is to perform progressive machining on parts in accordance with processes as well as blueprints, sketches, and/or verbal instruction(s). Responsibilities include but may not be limited to program set-ups and/or adjustments; inspection of parts and safe operation of various types of machine tools; hand operations; floor erecting and/or assembly operations; and providing instruction/guidance to other machinists regarding set-ups and fixtures.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):

Manual Programming Code knowledge.

Working knowledge of manual machines including saw, lathe, or mill.

Proficient in shop math.

Ability to effectively read and interpret blueprints.

Solid communication skills required and the ability to work as a part of a team.

Flexibility and cooperation in performing other duties as assigned.

Ability to change shifts when business necessitates.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or the equivalent.

One (1) year of machinist level work experience (or equivalent machinist technical education, including strong skills in shop math, measuring tools and blueprint reading.)Preferred/desired Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Machining.

Conversational and/or CAM programming.Physical Requirements (ADA):

Ability to travel to and from the primary work location(s).

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods (up to 4 hours at a time).
