Collect data pertinent to the interpretation of test results. Assists Senior Neurophysiology Technologists or medical staff with complex recordings.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):Either Graduate of a Neurophysiology Technician Program or at least six (6) months job related experience in the Clinical Neurophysiology Lab requiredBLS certification required or must obtain within 1 month from date of hireCompetency in multiple electrode application techniques requiredPositive interpersonal skills with patients, families, lab staff, physicians, and other members of the hospital staff requiredA working knowledge of neuro-anatomy, physiology, basic electronics, electrical safety, END instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions that influence END procedures requiredBasic computer skills requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END Program), or an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is preferredSuccessful completion of Part I of ABRET exam preferredThis job description is a general outline of duties performed and is not to be misconstrued as encompassing all duties performed within the position.
