Mountain Laurel Catering & Events is looking for a Lead Baker.
The Baker/Pastry Chef is responsible preparing and baking various goods, such as cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, and breads, following traditional and modern recipes for large events. The Baker/ Pastry Chef decorates pastries using different techniques, icings and toppings to ensure visually appealing presentations. They manage ingredient stocks, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards. The Baker/Pastry Chef also works with Back of house and Front of house employees on site for event execution, representing Mountain Laurel Catering & Events with a professional appearance as well as deminer. Success in this position is obtainable with due diligence, mental organization, time management, sanitary food practices, knowledge of general recipe composition, and of course making exceptional baked goods. Tiered Cake experience necessary. Wedding Cake experience preferred.
