The General Government Human Resource Office has an opening for a Human Resource Analyst 3 (General) to work as an Employee Relations Specialist. Join our team today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, advice, and interpretation to managers and supervisors on labor relation issues or contract changes. You will also participate in developing policies and procedures to resolve potential or existing manager/employee problems. This includes ensuring compliance with existing labor contracts, Civil Service Rules, Personnel Rules, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action practices, Fair Labor Standards Act, Governor's Code of Conduct, Management Directives, Whistleblower Act, and various Human Resource related federal and state laws, policies, and procedures.Specific duties cover the following areas: consulting with managers on employee relations activities, handling disciplinary matters, conducting investigations, responding to standard and accelerated grievances, participating in contract negotiations, conducting training on employee relations matters, analyzing polices and developing recommendations for improvements, participating in meet and discuss sessions and labor management meetings, reviewing and preparing responses to unemployment compensation claims, and a variety of other assignments.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 in the area of the parenthetical; or
One year as a Field Human Resource Officer 1, and one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; or
Two years of experience in the performance of professional human resource work, including one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
