Job DescriptionIntel Incubation and Disruptive Innovation group is defining the state of the art in computer vision and AI, developing products for various industrial applications for workflow automation and productivity improvement.We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Research Intern to join our team at Incubation and Disruptive Innovation (IDI). The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing state-of-the-art research in machine learning and generative AI, collaborate with the IDI engineering team contributing original research in advancing generative AI technologies and its applications in vertical industries to enable workflow automation.As a Research Intern in our organization, you will have the unique opportunity to learn and enhance your deep learning and AI systems skills. The candidate is expected to have strong research ability, problem-solving and analytical skills.Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Perform state of the art research in machine learning and AI to advance generative AI technologies in specific vertical industries.

Apply generative AI technologies to enable workflow automation.

Design and implement advanced AI techniques to solve real-world problems.

Conduct literature review and evaluate state of the art methods in the field.

QualificationsMinimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must be pursuing a Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering or in relevant technical field.

1+ years' experience in below areas:

Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning

Natural language processing techniques and generative large language models with strong deep learning fundamentals.

Python programming, and experience with commonly used AI frameworks and scientific libraries.

Preferred Qualifications:

Track record of publications in top AI/ML conferences.

Demonstrated deep learning and software development experience with open-source contributions and participation in AI/coding challenges.

This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
