As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will serve as the primary receptionist and provide clerical support to the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. A considerable amount of independence is needed in determining priorities and carrying out responsibilities, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively is key. In addition, you will serve as the initial point of contact for the Department's General Information and Licensing telephone lines and refer inquiries to the appropriate staff as necessary.You will receive training to develop an overall understanding of the department, its structure and its programs. Daily tasks are generally completed independently within established department guidelines. Direct supervision is provided by the Administrative Officer 2.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
