Mechanicsburg family needs a part-time academic coach for our Grade 12 teenager, who is transitioning from Regular to CAOLA Cyber (on-line) High School, plus Cumberland-Perry Votech morning classes. M-W-F, for 2 hours per day, anytime between noon and 3pm. Requirements: the successful candidate will provide motivational coaching, assistance with time management and task organization, homework reminders and review, and school project scheduling and task management, assistance with creative writing projects. Tutoring assistance as-needed, but not the primary focus of the job. Teach the use of electronic calendar for scheduling of projects and important milestones. Provide coaching to stay on task, and improve his academic skills and study habits. Must be authoritative and firm (with emphasis). Job focus is on coaching and motivation. Starting September 8 or thereabouts. Ending late May 2021. Off regular school holidays (schedule available). Flexible schedule. $20 per hour, plus mileage allowance. Teacher credentials preferred.
