Description Senior AccountantA client of ours is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract role. As the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances. Responsibilities of Senior Accountant
Supervising accounting staff
Development Accounting including job costing, project assistants, onboard assets, and day to functions
Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations
Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
Supporting month-end and year-end close
Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Senior Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years’ experience as a Senior Accountant
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills
Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel (PIVOT TABLES, VLOOKUP’s, SUMIf’s, etc.)
Knowledge of Yardi is a huge plus
Attention to detail
Willing to pick up work and changing processes
