We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join a local machine shop in Butler, PA. This company makes parts and repairs equipment for the steel industry. This person can be given a part with requirements, and machine it. The Machinist will work independently throughout the day in a team of ten.
The work schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 am 2:30 pm. Overtime is available but not mandated. Generous employee benefits are offered.POSITION
Read blueprints and determine the correct materials and steps to meet the specifications
Perform set up of the material on the HBM, planner or lathe
Machine the parts to specifications
Manage and maintain tools
Write and edit programs
Can diagnose problems with a machine or tool and make a repair REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in a machine shop environment
Proficient blueprint reading skills
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Familiarity with machining tools and equipment
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
