A leading provider of data and analytics tooling around Weather and Environmental studies is looking to hire a Senior to Lead level Software Engineer to their growing team. They have years of experience in high growth technology companies with a focus on predictive analytics. They are looking for a Software Engineer with strong Object Oriented programming skills, specifically in Java and Python. You will also have some responsibility on the front end team helping to develop UI using modern Javascript libraries like React and Angular. Required Skills & Experience
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related professional experience
- 5-7+ years of professional experience with Java
- Experience with Python or functional programming like Scala or Kotlin is a plus
- AWS general facility experience is needed
- Microservices architecture experience
- REST API experience
- GIT, Docker, Kubernetes a plus
- Angular or React experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 80-90% Hands On
- 10-20% Team Collaboration and Project Leadership
