Medical Assistant

Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care, with locations in Altoona, State College, Ebensburg, Huntingdon, Tyrone and Bedford, is looking for a Medical Assistant. We are a podiatry office that treats any problem associated with the foot including surgical correction, wound care, toenail treatment, wart treatment, fractures, orthotics, diabetic foot care and more. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a podiatry or orthopedic office, but it is not required. If you have medical experience, we encourage you to apply. This position does travel to different locations. Day to day duties Rooming patients Obtaining and updating medical histories and medications Charting/documenting in EHR Hands on clinical care including wound care, post-op care, DME dispensing, patient instruction, assisting in small procedures and more Measuring for, fitting and dispensing diabetic shoes and inserts Assistance with lifting and transitioning patients as needed Requirements/Qualifications Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program, other certifications considered Strong knowledge of anatomy and terminology Extreme attention to detail Self-motivation and flexibility Positive team player with a high energy level Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work evenings Ability to travel to work at our various locations Possibility exists for 4 day work week We are an equal opportunity employer
