Your work will have real-world impact, and you’ll be supported in achieving your career goals.Position Summary:This role is responsible for supporting the relationships with strategic accounts to drive profitable growth in accordance with the Clinical Trial Division (CTD) and the Pharma Services Group’s (PSG) strategic plan, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and goal tree. The role works closely with the Global Relationship Directors and their clients with operations and finance to ensure customer commitments are achieved.Responsibilities:
Supports ownership of the ten strategic relationships for CTD America’s; develops and implements strategies that significantly grow key customer revenue, enhance the scope of service offerings, and improve cash flow.
Delivers integrated solutions with comprehensive quotes on both new protocols as well as existing business within the Clinical Trials division to gain share across the 10 accounts
Coordinates a cross-functional team (e.g., Project Management, Quality, IT, Finance) dedicated to providing high-quality, global “end to end” service to key customers; engages with CTD and Thermo Fisher executives on behalf of the customers where appropriate.
Functions as a point person for contractual reconciliations to ensure purchase orders on large projects are up to date and helps clients understand the new scope of the project.
Manages the SalesForce.com funnel ensuring all key opportunities are updated and moving forward with our quotations team to provide an elevated service to our strategic clients
Conceptualizes and champions new services and expanded service offerings that address customers’ current and emerging needs; builds the business by broadening and deepening customer reliance on a range of global service offerings by Patheon/Clinical Services/Clinical Research Group.
Participates in our S&OP process and is able to guide the placement of work at CTD sites, thus, making the appropriate technology, region, or capacity decision in the best interest of the sponsor study.
Communicates value of premium pricing to customers. Ensures that quality levels (which support premium pricing) are consistently high.
Organizes regular quality or service delivery review meetings that ensure operational performance standards are achieved.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, health care or related strongly preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
7-10 years experience in pharmaceutical services, life sciences, health care services or high tech.
Clinical supplies/materials operations or clinical drug development experience required.
Business/financial acumen; previous P&L experience preferred.
Previous senior management experience and/or expertise in 2-3 key functional areas (finance, operations, sales, marketing, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to manage and profitably grow large customer accounts.
Willing to travel up to 25% (in some cases globally)
