Branch Manager - Moving and Storage

Lile Relocation Services is hiring an experienced Branch Manager to direct all aspects of business development and daily operations in the Salem area.

The Branch Manager is responsible for generating sales, producing income and managing expenses to achieve branch profitability.

As Branch Manager you will also be responsible for directing day-to-day operations activities to ensure superior customer service and meet branch performance goals, following corporate guidelines, company core values and staff leadership initiatives.

The Branch Manager works directly with customers and staff at all levels and communicates with them regularly and frequently. The ability to build customer relationships, as well as lead, manage and mentor individuals and teams in a fast-changing environment, with a high degree of professionalism, is a necessity.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a supervisor or manager with employee oversight, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Household Moving or Trucking industries.

You must be available to work Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as required. Reliable transportation to the branch and customer locations is required.

Job Responsibilities: What You'll Do

Business Development

Lead and develop branch-level sales initiatives and growth strategies

Oversee store operations to meet sales goals and objectives

Personnel Management

Recruit, hire, supervise, evaluate, mentor and discharge branch employees in accordance with company policies and procedures

Supervise administrative, operations and dispatch personnel

Effectively communicate and model company policies and state/federal regulations to workers, including enforcement of safety regulations

Assist with driver qualification procedures

Analyze and resolve employee work issues, and assist employees in solving work problems

Administration

Perform branch management administrative duties according to company policies and procedures

Prepare and submit regular business, administrative and financial reports according to company policies and procedures

Maintain company inventory and equipment in good order

Conduct review and audit of completed paperwork for accuracy and proper data input

Review Storage-In-Transit shipments; complete and submit exceptions sheets as needed

Recommend improvements for processes, performance and service

Safety and Compliance

Ensure branch-level compliance with state and federal transportation, safety and employment regulations

Review and enforce company policies established to meet DOT requirements

Regularly inspect warehouse operations to ensure industry standards and federal codes are met

Review job procedures and perform inspections according to company policy, assure compliance with work rules and training, initiate troubleshooting if needed, and make recommendations for improvements.

Scheduling

Assign duties and adjust work procedures in accordance with company policies to ensure on-time job completion of daily jobs, customer satisfaction, and superior customer service

Oversee employee and equipment assignments as needed to meet requirements of job schedule

Professional Development (all levels)

Maintain proper qualifications to manage, lead and assist branch teams and operations

Initiate or suggest plans to mentor and motivate workers to achieve work goals

Job Requirements: What You Bring

Minimum of 5 years’ Supervisor or Management experience with employee oversight

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Household Moving or Trucking industry

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

Secondary education in business operations is preferred

Strong verbal and written communication ability. Comfortable communicating and presenting information at all levels, both internally and externally

Ability to direct, coach and work cooperatively with all staff

Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency situations and requests

Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule

Exemplary customer service skills

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

Able to maintain high level of professional discretion/confidentiality

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Electronic Logging Device (ELD) knowledge is desirable

Solid geographic region knowledge is a plus

Must be able to read, write, and understand English when necessary for job performance, safety, and effective and efficient operations.

REAL ID may be required at time of hire.

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 annual, depending on experience and qualifications
