Experienced Boat Mechanic needed at Dennis’ Boat Shop in Salem, OR. This is a part-time, temporary position for a period of 3-months as proficiency is established. After the probationary period is successfully completed the position will become a full-time, 40-hour position. Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday mornings. Pay is based on experience.
This position requires a desire to move into a management/mechanic position. Writing estimates and working with insurance companies, working the office, taking payments, answering phones and assisting walk-in customers. Also, ordering and maintaining parts for individual jobs and inventory.

Requirements for the position:
5 years of experience in the Marine industry and strong knowledge of inboard, outboard and inboard jet engines.
Working knowledge of current electrical technology and digital control panels.
Working knowledge and experience in trailer repair, including electric brakes, wiring, axle and hub maintenance and repair.
Skilled in working with the public, respect for the customer is mandatory.
