A rapidly growing agricultural cooperative with state-of-the-art food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Salem, OR production facility. Our Salem facility specializes in producing maraschino cherries and other cherry products in a variety of styles, colors, and flavors, and is home to a dedicated team of 70-100 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, wiring, and installation of motors, switches, panels, circuit breakers, lighting, and power circuits.

Install, connect, adjust, and calibrate electrical gauges and recording instruments to ensure optimal performance.

Plan and execute the layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with specifications and electrical codes.

Utilize a range of tools and equipment, including power construction tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and test lamps.

Demonstrate proficiency in specifying and accurately sizing wires, conduits, circuit breakers, and fuses per NEC and other relevant codes.

Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams to ensure precise installation and maintenance.

Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components to ensure minimal downtime.

Leverage PLC programs for efficient troubleshooting and system optimization.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the facility's operational goals.

Qualifications:

Completed a related educational degree, certificate or program; and/or comparable work experience, plus formal training in this area

Holds applicable licensing and certificate(s)

A fundamental aptitude, which may be assessed by a practical exam.

Experience in food production and manufacturing environment

Able to understand and utilize PLC programs to aid in troubleshooting.

AutoCAD experience for creating electrical drawings.

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.

Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.

Self-motivated, able to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills.
