Marion County is seeking a skilled and professional Registered Nurse to
work in a team environment at the Juvenile Department. Working alongside
other nurses, you will be providing direct care to youth currently under
the department's care. The ideal candidate will have experience with
health assessments, distributing medications and updating MARS, and
triaging medical situations that may arise. Youth under our care may be
residing in Juvenile Detention Facility or the Guaranteed Attendance
Program, or they may be active in our work program, Alternative
Programs, which includes the Fresh Start Market. Standard shifts are day
or swing or blended including weekend coverage. The Juvenile Department

we work with typically fall within the age range of 12-17, so enjoying

comprehensive nursing assessments, develop intervention strategies, and
provide nursing services to individuals, families, groups, and
communities; provide case management for high-risk clients. EXPERIENCE
AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS 1. Associate degree, or diploma, in nursing
and two years of experience as a nurse in a public health, social
services, or community health setting; OR 2. Bachelor's degree in
nursing; OR 3. Any satisfactory combination of work, education,
training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by
Marion County.
