PSU’s Facilities and Property Management department (FPM) is seeking a licensed Plumber to provide journey-level installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems across the campus. The Plumber collaborates with a small team on both preventative and reactive maintenance; new installation projects; and work on a variety of plumbing systems and components including domestic water systems, heating and cooling water systems, waste and vent lines, valves and restroom fixtures.
Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people. They will demonstrate their knowledge of industry best practices while working safely, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Minimum Qualifications
-A valid Oregon Plumber’s license; AND
One of the following:
One year of experience as a journey-level plumber; OR
Completion of an approved apprenticeship program.
Valid driver’s license
Journey level skill in using manual and power tools
Proven ability to perform work in a professional customer service manner
Proven ability to communicate effectively with the diverse campus community and staff in the performance of work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing related work in an institutional environment
Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester certification
Experience or training in “green” plumbing practices
Excellent customer service skills.
