Journeyman Pipe Welder
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The company creates long-term value by using resources efficiently to provide innovative products and solutions that meet our customers' needs. Located in Vancouver, our company is a Mechanical Contractor, a leader in manufacturing fabrications and maintenance services in industrial settings.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
4 years Journey level experience as a maintenance Pipe Welder in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
Shop welder for industrial/manufacturing experience.
Pipe fitting skills a plus.
Self-starter and work without direct supervision.
Proficient experience with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding of steel and stainless steel pipe welding,
Able to work in all areas of industrial customer mill sites.
Must be willing and able to wear/use appropriate PPE to include but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, escape respirator, hearing protection, gloves and safety toed shoes.
Willing to work overtime when needed.
Minimal local travel for shutdown work (some overnight stays) with travel pay and per diem.
Be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
Preferred Qualifications
Pipe Welding.
Sheet metal fabrication.
ASME welding certification or ability to pass.
Pipe fitting skills a plus.
Completion of a State Certified Apprenticeship Program or Trade School completion.

Compensation based on skill level and qualifications as described above. $35.00 - $45.00 an hour.
