Altura Furniture is looking for full time experienced furniture maker to join our 15 person team.
Altura designs and produces a line of high end modern furniture using solid wood and veneer construction.
A minimum of 5 -10 years experience in a furniture - woodworking shop environment is required.
Our work is design and quality oriented with a variety of types of free standing furniture produced from start to finish by a single builder. All actual finishing is done by our finishing team, you just build the nice furniture from raw materials to a completed project ready for finishing.
Skills should include an eye for craftsmanship and detail, able to work efficiently, accurately and independantly. Knowledge of fabrication and assembly methods in solid wood and veneer using the full range of woodworking machines, power and hand tools is essential. Ability to problem solve and make improvements and suggestions are valued additional skills. Applicant should be organized, dependable, flexible with the ability to communicate and work with others.
We have a safe, clean, organized shop with professional tools and machinery and dust collection. All work is performed in our shop environment, no installations or site work required. We are not seasonal and enjoy a steady and consistent work flow.
