Automotive Technician

Automotive Technician Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostics and major repairs on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
Troubleshoot complex systems such as transmissions, rear axles, and drivability concerns.
Conduct full vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and parts departments to ensure timely, accurate repairs.
Test drive vehicles to confirm the success of repair work.
Keep thorough, accurate records of all work performed.
Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins and certifications.
Adhere to safety and compliance procedures for shop operations and hazardous materials handling.
Assist in mentoring and developing entry-level technicians to improve overall team capabilities.
Automotive Technician Qualifications
2+ years of automotive repair experience; advanced-level technicians strongly preferred.
ASE Master Technician certification or progress toward certification is highly desirable.
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems.
Must provide personal tools; tool allowance or bonus provided.
GM, Chevy, or Ford experience is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Able to lift 50–80 pounds and meet the physical demands of the role.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
