Sandy Auto Body has an immediate job opening for an Auto Painter's Assistant. This assistant will work directly with our two Auto Painters with prepping, masking and assisting with workflow in our Paint Department.

Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation: Sanding, buffing, taping, and masking vehicles to prepare them for painting.
Paint Application Support: Assisting with mixing paint, applying primer, and potentially assisting with the final paint coats.
Workspace Maintenance: Keeping the paint booth and surrounding area clean, organized, and safe.
Skills and Qualifications:
Physical Stamina: The job can involve lifting parts and working in a potentially physical environment.
Attention to Detail: Precise work is required in surface preparation and paint application.
Teamwork: The assistant works closely with the painter and other technicians, requiring good communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of Automotive Repair: Familiarity with basic automotive repair procedures, including sanding, masking, and potentially some body filler work.
Valid Driver's License: Often required for moving vehicles around the shop.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
