Loen Nursery, Inc. seeks individual for Sales Manager position. Must have experience in all aspects of management, sales, communications, and customer relations.
Job Responsibilities
■ Manage plant sales to all markets throughout the US and Canada
■ Manage inside and outside sales representatives
■ Create and provide sales plans per sector within the marketplace
■ Promote and market plant material to customers
■ Manage pre-order sales
■ Balance inventory of products, monitor, and promote surplus items
■ Develop systems of accountability for sales departments and contact reporting
■ Assure and monitor sales goals, new accounts, account growth, and account changes
■ Manage and tend to broker relationships
■ Establish sales goals based on the landscape of market sectors in total dollars
■ Report sales daily, monthly, and annually per territory for inside and outside sales
■ Develop and practice efficient processes and procedures for sales
■ Provide salespeople with information on best items to sell per sector/geographic area
■ Keep record of quotes/bids for landscape projects, follow up with customer accounts "'
■ Create and practice sales strategies to add, manage, and assign accounts
■ Meet quoting and confirmation deadlines as well as follow ups
■ Manage inspection of orders loaded and shipped, date and file per customer
■ Conduct sales meetings weekly or as needed with inside and outside representatives
■ Training new sales staff
■ Promote why buy from Loen Nursery to customers and marketplaces
Qualifications
■ 5 years' experience in nursery product sales
■ 3 years' experience as sales manager for a nursery/landscape retailer
■ Excellent communication and leadership skills
■ Sales minded, fast paced, adaptable
■ Degree in Horticulture preferred
A Plus - Spanish/English, knowledge of plants, previous work in the nursery trade
Benefits and Salary
$65,000 - 90,000 plus goal bonuses Medical and Dental Insurance Vacation, paid holidays, and sick leave
