Madison Furniture is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for our facility located in Tigard, Oregon. We are a 30 year old furniture manufacturing company specializing in products for hospitality and assisted living. Our ideal candidate would have experience in the industry, but not required. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can manage their calendar, work with a professional team, understand the market and what customers want, and grow sales for our company. With no limit to commission, the person we hire will be highly compensated for their efforts.
Objectives of this position:
Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth
Improve sales revenue
Manage positive professional relationships with clients
Monitor sales progress to assure sales goals are being met
Responsibilities:
Identify and establish contact with prospective customers
Schedule site visits with potential customers
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
Attend industry trade shows to identify promising sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers
Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for possible sales
Recommend marketing strategies to target specific customers within our region (OR, WA, ID, NV, MT, AK)
Generate and submit sales reports to management
Experience and skills required:
Proven record of sales growth
Experience in customer service, marketing or a sales-related field
Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
Exceptional project management skills
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiasm for the company and commitment to its growth potential
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in managing sales
Sharp negotiating and networking skills
Effective organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Educational background in business, marketing or finance preferred but not required
Schedule:
3 days per week on the road, 2 days per week in the office (Tigard OR)
Compensation:
Base salary + generous tiered commission paid on booked sales
2 weeks PTO + 1 week sick/personal time
All federal holidays paid
