$48.31 - $58.86 per hour; DOE

General Description:

A highly skilled and detail-oriented System Analyst manages, supports, and optimizes our Student Information System (SIS) and related integrations. This role is critical in ensuring seamless data operations, technical troubleshooting at a Tier 3 level, and system enhancements that drive efficiency across the district. The System Analyst must have expertise in SQL, system integrations, data management, and software maintenance to support the evolving needs of our schools, staff, and students.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the

knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to

1. 3-5 years of experience in SIS support or enterprise system administration within an educational or similar environment.

2. 3-5 years of experience with SQL development, including queries, stored procedures, database management, and reporting tools.

3. Strong expertise in system integrations, data management, and software

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

4. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

1. Expertise in Edupoint’s Synergy SIS or equivalent Student Information Systems (e.g., PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, or similar).

2. Knowledge of data integration including via APIs, data integration platforms (e.g., Ed-Fi, SIF), and scripting languages.

3. Experience with state reporting, compliance, and data governance in a K-12 environment is preferred.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Essential functions: Include the following. Performs some or all of the following tasks. Other Duties may be assigned. The duties listed below are not inclusive, but characteristic of the type and level of work assigned for this position.

A. SIS Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the Tier 3 technical expert for our SIS, resolving complex issues, optimizing workflows, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams for escalated support.

B. SQL Database Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports to support district data needs, including data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

C. Integrations & Data Exchange: Manage and enhance system integrations between the SIS and third-party applications (e.g., learning management systems, HR/payroll, state reporting platforms) to ensure secure and seamless data exchange.

D. System Maintenance & Updates: Oversee routine system updates, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to district operations. Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to validate system changes, ensuring reliability and accuracy before deployments.

E. Automation & Process Improvement: Identify and implement automation opportunities for data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

F. Compliance & Security: Ensure that all student and staff data is protected, compliant with FERPA and other regulatory standards, and aligned with district policies.

G. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with technology, curriculum, HR, and business teams to align SIS functionalities with operational needs.

H. User Training & Documentation: Develop user-friendly guides, training materials, and best practices to empower staff in using SIS and related tools effectively.
