Powell's Books is seeking to hire an Assistant Manager at our Beaverton location.
The Assistant Manager works independently and as a part of the management team to oversee retail floor operations. Responsibilities include providing for an exceptional in-store customer experience, managing staff on the retail floor, and coordinating work flow and staffing between different parts of the store.
This position will have a Sales Floor portfolio, responsible for overseeing the functions that support in-section maintenance and control, visual merchandising in aisles and customer service goals of the company.
The schedule is to be determined. Shifts will be regular and consistent. They may start as early as 8am or end as late as 9pm, and will include one or both weekend days, for a 37.5-hour workweek.
Compensation is $21.48 per hour, or more, depending on experience.
