On-the-Move Community Integration is seeking individuals united and driven by our core values of social justice, diversity, inclusion, empowerment, personal health, environmental sustainability, and fun to be a Community Inclusion Specialist on our team. We envision a society that is prepared to include everyone. Communities are at their best when the integration and inclusion of individuals with varying abilities occur.

Background:

Job Summary:

The Inclusion Specialist supports a small group of 2-3 participants at a time while navigating the community and engaging in participant-preferred activities. Activities can range from exploring a new park, visiting a local museum, to volunteering at a local food bank. The activities and route are planned by participants with assistance from an Inclusion Specialist. This job requires the stamina to provide adequate physical, social, and emotional assistance and direct personal care (i.e. personal hygiene, eating, etc.). Notes are taken at the end of the day to track the progress and successes of participants.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Passing a DHS-BCU criminal background check within 90 days of hire.

3. Completing First Aid/CPR certification within three weeks of hire.

Also required for employment: excellent safety decision-making and judgement, maintaining minimum competency requirements outlined during orientation, and complying with mandatory abuse reporting.

Driving is not required for this job, because we take public transportation and/or walk to our destinations (Staff are provided with bus fare when working).

Pay:

- $20/hr. upon completion of OTM training and successful criminal background check.

- $19/hr. during training, typically lasts 6-8 weeks.

Benefits:

Generous benefits available to both part-time and full-time team members include:

Your typical schedule will be from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM. During the training period, you will be required to arrive by 8:30 AM to review participant support documents and may need to stay as late as 3:45 PM for daily debriefings.
