Job description:
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport and deliver goods to customers
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely and efficient deliveries
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks or hand trucks
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and ensure all necessary documentation is completed
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with customers at delivery locations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
Experience:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Familiarity with local roads and routes in the area
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation systems
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order verification and documentation
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of goods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
