Andersen Dairy, Inc, is searching for a new safety professional to add to our team. We believe in consistent continuing education and like to keep our EHS professionals updated on current trends and new training methods. Graveyard: 11pm-7:30am
Split days off: Sunday and Wednesday.
The starting pay range is $22.75-25.75.
Pay is negotiable for someone with certifications and/or degrees in the field.
Our EHS Professional will provide assistance to the Safety Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Initiate and implement approved safety measures in work areas.
Inspect work area premises for hazardous elements.
Educate workers and employees on safety aspects.
Collaborate with departmental heads in implementing safety processes.
Ensure first aid treatment is provided immediately to injured employees.
Initiate and implement patient safety in a facility setting.
Strictly adhere to corporate safety guidelines and procedures.
This position takes place in a manufacturing and production environment. The work environment itself is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. This is not an office job. We are looking for someone to spend 80% of their time on the floor and 20% at a desk.
We are looking for someone with:
6 Months in a safety leadership role or internship.
Highschool diploma or equivalent, Required.
EHS Diploma, Certificate or AAS preferred.
Knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA and ANSI.
Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets.
Acute attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Great knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively and connect with people from various backgrounds and work history.
Own transportation, valid drivers license and current auto insurance.
Not required but a bonus would be someone who is bilingual English/Spanish speaking.

1 week @ 1 year
2 weeks @ 2 years

4 Paid Holidays a year (please note that we pay an additional 8 hours of regular pay on top of what is worked for these days)
