Job Title: Part-Time Marketing Assistant - Database & Digital Community

Location: Portland, Oregon (Remote after initial training)

Compensation: $25/hour

Hours: Approximately 15-20 hours a week (flexible scheduling to be discussed)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and digitally savvy individual to join our team and help us enhance our online presence and client communication.

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Part-Time Marketing Assistant to support our marketing efforts. This role will primarily focus on maintaining and optimizing our client database, developing and distributing engaging newsletters, and actively managing our presence on key online real estate forums. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with technology, possess strong written communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

Database Management

Maintain and update client and prospect databases (CRM system, e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, custom database).

Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Segment databases for targeted marketing campaigns.

Assist with data import/export and clean-up projects.

Generate reports on database metrics as needed.

Newsletter Creation & Distribution

Assist in the creation, editing, and scheduling of regular email newsletters (Mailchimp)

Source and curate relevant content, including market updates, company news, and local real estate trends.

Ensure newsletters are visually appealing and adhere to brand guidelines.

Track newsletter performance (open rates, click-through rates) and suggest improvements.

Online Real Estate Forums Management

Monitor and actively participate in relevant online real estate forums and community groups

Respond to inquiries, engage in discussions, and subtly promote our firm's expertise and services.

Identify opportunities for thought leadership and content contribution.

Track forum sentiment and report on key trends or opportunities.

Maintain a professional and helpful online persona representing our brand.

Qualifications:

Proven experience with database management or CRM systems.

Excellent written communication and editing skills with a strong command of grammar and punctuation.

Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, CMA )

Comfortable navigating and engaging with online forums and social media platforms.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Basic understanding of real estate terminology and the Portland market is a plus, but not required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or Google Workspace.
