A2 Fabrication is a dynamic, full-service shop that provides both metal fabrication and field installation. We are looking for a responsible, self-motivated and team-oriented individual to support our team of welder/fabricators. Job duties include, but are not limited to: sawing, driving, loading & unloading, lifting heavy objects, drilling, sanding, grinding, maintenance and other miscellaneous tasks. Welding and/or construction experience is a plus, but not required. This job is expected to last for 2-3 months, but can lead to a full-time position within the shop.
We are looking for an Individual who:
-Communicates effectively and work in a team environment
-Can read a tape measure and other measuring devices
-Can SAFELY operate shop and field tools, power tools and other machinery & equipment
-Maintains attention to details
-Can safely use band saws and other metal cutting saws to cut metal to specifications shown on drawings/blueprints
-Can cope and deburr parts as necessary
-Is able to apply basic math skills including conversion of fractions to decimals and vice versa
-Can demonstrate safe use of overhead cranes including sling and magnet rigging
-Can receive material into the shop and unload delivery trucks
-Can keep track of materials
-Has reliable transportation to/from work
-Has a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
-Can pass a drug test and background check
