Maintenance Worker/Remodeler

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven Maintenance & Construction Worker for Property Management company. This person is responsible for providing basic maintenance for the properties we manage throughout the Vancouver Area. Strong candidate will bring a full range of knowledge (including but not limited to) general handyman skills, basic plumbing, light carpentry, landscaping, and painting. In addition, this person will assistant in some aspects of remodeling of current and new apartments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Plumbing: Replacing faucet and some minor repair of faucets; installing garbage disposals; repairing or replacing toilet mechanisms; unstopping plumbing pipes, and other routine plumbing repairs

Electrical: Replacing lighting fixtures and outlets, and other routine electrical repairs

Carpentry: Repair and install doors, locks, closet doors

Painting: Interior walls and ceilings; plaster and drywall repair

Flooring: Vinyl flooring replacement and repair.

Grounds Maintenance: picking up trash as needed, weed control, tree/bushes trimming as needed.

Cleaning: Apartments, windows, walls, appliances, sweeping parking lots; disposing of and moving trash, newspapers, appliances, and furniture, and other cleaning duties

Able to complete necessary tasks when turning vacant units

Complete work order requests and/or a variety of routine maintenance for assigned apartment communities

Responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks to the standards of our organization.

Able to travel from property to property as assigned or needed with own vehicle.

Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Muti-family maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)

Handyman certification preferred but not required

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Work alone and or in a team with professionalism and efficiency.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff

General maintenance and repair knowledge

Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies and materials and keep in good working order

Willingness to learn

Must have a valid driver's license and have own vehicle

Successfully pass a drug screening test and criminal background check

Some weekend work may be required

Pay based upon experience.
