Job Title: Property Management Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

As a Property Management Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our residential and commercial properties. Your role will involve addressing unit turnovers, handling maintenance requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all properties are safe and well-maintained. You will work closely with property managers and other team members to deliver excellent service to our residents and tenants. You should have your own basic tool bag, a valid driver’s license, a vehicle, and auto insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to assigned maintenance requests from maintenance and property managers.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, painting, sheetrock repair, and general building maintenance.

Ensure that all maintenance work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintain accurate records of hours, maintenance activities, and repairs.

Collaborate with property managers and/or maintenance manager to prioritize and address maintenance needs.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Assist with property turnovers, including cleaning, painting, inspecting, and preparing units for new residents.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in property management.

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning, and general building maintenance is a must.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to emergencies as needed.

A valid driver’s license and your own vehicle with insurance.

Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Benefits:

Salary starting at $20/hr.+ DOE, with a probationary period of 6 months. Pay will be reevaluated after 6 months. 20-30 hrs./week, with potential for more depending on workload.
