Dental Hygienist for Small Practice - 2-4 Days/Wk

Oregon, Portland, 97201 Portland USA
Aplica ya

Our well-established neighborhood practice is seeking a caring and competent dental hygienist to care for our patients 2-4 days a week. Our office offers a relaxed work environment with great music, modern technology, and wonderful patients. We take our time with each patient to make sure they get the best care and place a high priority on the well-being of our team members. As a team, we are continuously learning so we can provide exceptional care, and we love to have fun at work!

As our hygienist, you will be much more than a “tooth cleaner”; you’ll play a major role in providing comprehensive care, including recording soft tissue findings, patient education and treatment plan review. You will have autonomy in your treatment decisions, with support from our approachable doctor and office manager. And you'll enjoy the full support of our dental assistants with chart review, perio charting, x-rays, and room turnover so that you can focus on patient care.

Our excellent compensation package includes paid time off, in-house dental care, retirement match, and quarterly bonuses based on team success. And for full time employees, we offer paid holidays, health and vision insurance, and continuing education reimbursement. We have onsite parking and protected bike parking and are conveniently located three blocks from the MAX line. We are a short walk from the vibrant Kenton downtown area.

Working hours are typically 7:30am-5:15pm, four days per week (with rotating Wednesdays & Fridays off). We are open to part time employment as well! We see 6-8 hygiene patients per day and typically allow 60-90 mins/visit depending on recare type.

Essential qualifications include:

· Current Oregon Dental Hygiene license (new grads welcome!)

· Excellent technical skills, including competence in Radiation Health & Safety

· Solid computer skills and good typing speed/accuracy

· Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications include:

· Local anesthetic endorsement

· Familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis

· Familiarity with sleep apnea/airway disorders and myofunctional therapy

If this sounds like a potential fit, let's talk!
