Our team believes in serving our clients in all their power delivery needs with honesty and integrity. Training will be provided!Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs a Transmission Line Project Engineer, you’ll be entrusted with developing our team members' skills in transmission line design, leading projects, advocating for our clients, and nurturing current connections. Your role will consist of spearheading transmission line design projects for electric cooperative, municipal, and public utility district clients while embodying our commitment to serving local public power utilities. The ideal candidate will assume responsibility for overseeing and executing projects within our department and developing team members in transmission design capabilities.

Take the helm on transmission projects while providing guidance and support to junior engineers and designers

Formulate project scope documents, establish budgets, and create and maintain schedules

Chair clients' project meetings and facilitate effective communication between clients, managers, and internal teams to ensure project alignment with requirements, scope, and schedule

Address client inquiries spanning various technical areas and appropriately manage client expectations

Candidates should demonstrate the following:

Honesty and integrity

Strong initiative

Attitude of service toward clients and internal teams

Willingness to share successes with the project team

Strong command of the English language

Strong written and oral communication skills in order to communicate professionally with internal team members and clients

Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or conferences

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or electrical engineering

Five (5) + years of experience in transmission line design

A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Demonstrate proficiency in PLS-CADD design software

Demonstrate proficiency in the NESC

Desired Education/Experience

Two (2) + years of experience leading engineering project teams

Registered Professional Engineer

Experience with preparing project work scope documents, schedules, budgets, and sequence of work for construction of projects

Exhibit eagerness to expand expertise beyond transmission into other design disciplines

Experience performing substation, transmission and/or distribution design for electric cooperatives

Experience with the RUS Transmission Design Guide

That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us!Base Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $155,000.00 per yearThe range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike.
