Mid-Level Transportation Engineer

AECOM’s Portland Transportation group is actively seeking a highly motivated experienced Civil Engineer with experience in railway, roadway, highway, and/or civil site design. This role will be part of an established engineering group and will work with a broad variety of transportation clients and projects throughout AECOM’s West Region. Projects may include:Roadway design.Freight and Transit track design.Transportation and multi-modal planning.Transit planning and design.Construction Management and Safety audits.In this role you will also work collaboratively with colleagues throughout AECOM’s West Region on rail/transit infrastructure projects for multiple state, local and federal government.Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for teamProvides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.Prepares technical specification sections.Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.Directly manage junior level staff.
