Description Robert Half is searching for an IT Generalist for a SaaS company based out of Portland, Oregon. The primary responsibility of this IT Generalist is to help manage the client's environment and provide escalated support to internal end-users. The client would strongly prefer a candidate based in the Portland, OR area but is also open to qualified, remote candidates. This is a short-term contract that will start in mid-August!Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network, security, internet, access control, network monitoring) and evaluate them according to established goals
- Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
- Mitigate risk through a process of governance and change management for IT managed systems to ensure minimal business disruption
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
- Lead the IT helpdesk - ensure the team provides quality and timely technical service to all internal users.
- Provide hands-on support for all IT Support functions, including prioritization, management, and reporting of requests, incidents, and outages
- Administration of antivirus, encryption, phone system, remote access tools, printers, and other systems utilized by the desktop
- Manage all aspects of user account lifecycle - all procedures and administration related to onboarding, offboarding, and role changes, as well as security badging
- Handle issues involving confidentiality and discretion in a mature professional manner
- Manage IT software and hardware licenses and services
- Lead a problem-solving culture; identify recurring problems and organize to resolve root cause issues
- Lead a customer service culture; responsible for building relationships with stakeholders and end-users, seeks out feedback to ensure we're satisfying the needs of the organization
- Enforce request handling, escalation policies, and other IT Support procedures as needed
- Monitor network & endpoints for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur
- About 5 years of experience in an IT Generalist or Manager role
- Proficient with Okta administration experience, particularly with Single Sign-On
- Strong preference to candidates with RingCentral troubleshooting and administration experience
- Must have Google Workspace administration experience
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting both Windows OS and Mac OS
- Nice to have: Zoom and/or Slack troubleshooting experience
