We are a Portland based Luxury Hair Extensions Salon. We have a commitment to our customers to have high quality hair extension services and maintain a professional atmosphere. We are a startup company that opened the doors to our salon in early 2022. We have a fun work environment and work as a team to help our customers. Our founders are Portland-based and we believe in our local community.
Position Overview
Salon manager is responsible for the operations of the salon. It's their job to make sure that the business is fully staffed, scheduled appropriately, opens on time, is well-stocked, clean and running smoothly. And people and items are received at the storefront. We have deliveries, contractors, customers, solicitors, stylists, walk-ins, government employees and randoms showing up to our premises regularly. We are brick and mortar and it is a very active location. You will manage the whole salon. The expectation is that you are willing to be present on the premise a majority of the time and able to communicate and deal with any instances at the store to be sorted and appropriately responded to.

Position Duties
The position duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Controlling overall cleanliness and tidiness of the premises
-Managing the staff performance and service quality
-Enforcing hygiene practices across all workstation
-Managing the salon phone and how calls/texts are answered and responded to
-Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies
-Keeping records of cash inflows and outflows
-Handling monies including cash drawer and deposits
-Taking care of customer records
-Overseeing the scheduling of appointments
-Handling customer issues
-(not necessary) Assisting other stylists and their customers
-Station cleaning
-Salon cleaning
-New client intake
-Existing client follow-up
-Greeting clients in lobby
-Taking payment, including working with POS system
-Making sure timecards are accurate
-Email marketing and text marketing for salon promotion
-Posting on social media daily
-Purchase of facility essentials
-Taking classes for training
-Attending company meetings
-Teaching or assisting in teaching other employees as part of training
-Supplier management
-Purchasing account management
-Additional manager responsibilities
