Waldport Ace Hardware is looking for a full-time Cashier who enjoys working with the public and has a friendly, outgoing personality. This position has potential for advancement, and we will provide training. As a business open seven days a week, we seek an individual who can be flexible with work hours.
Primary purpose of the position is operation of a point of sale system that includes a cash register, scanner, check processing terminal and credit/debit card terminals to complete sales, returns, and exchanges. Cash handling accuracy is a must. Cashier will be expected to become familiar with products we carry and their location in the store in order to direct customers or make suggestions.
Applicants must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, bending and twisting and standing for long periods of time.
No previous experience is required; however, skills brought to the job will be considered in setting starting pay.
