About the Job

We have openings for Residential Associates or Personal Care Associates at our behavioral health programs in North Bend and Brookings, Oregon. These positions work as members of a direct care team serving adults with serious mental illness. Their primary responsibilities include supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions, performing housekeeping and meal preparation, administering medication, and keeping accurate clinical documentation. If you have experience working as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiver for a client with behavioral health needs, the Residential Associate or Personal Care Associate positions may be a great fit for you!

Work Schedule: Up to Full Time, Day/Swing/Night shifts (TBD in interview)

What You’ll Make

$19.00 - $24.00 an hour DOE/Credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential will apply during the work hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am.

About the Programs

Cedar Bay (est. 2006) is a 5-bed licensed Residential Treatment Home located in Coos County in the city of North Bend, Oregon. The program serves 5 adults discharged from the Oregon State Hospital. Residential care and treatment are provided to enable to residents to transition back into the community.

Bell Cove was built in 2013 and specifically designed as a 5-bed, licensed Residential Treatment Home (RTH) located in scenic Brookings, Oregon. Bell Cove is PSRB-designated program serving individuals who are affected by a mental illness and have exceptional medical care needs.

ColumbiaCare Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. QMHA employees are also eligible to apply for the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program.

What You’ll Need

Personal Care Associate:

Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred.

A dedication to the well-being of each client and helping them meet their Activities of Daily Living (ADL).

OR

Residential Associate:

You must be registered as a QMHA through MHACBO or become registered within 30 days of hire. Eligibility for QMHA registration requires 1 out of 3 Criteria below

Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;

OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable mental health experience working with individuals living with a serious mental illness in a supervised social service setting;

OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

Successful applicants MUST have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
