Position Overview:
The primary function of the Store Cashier/Restock Clerk is to provide timely and accurate processing of customer transactions, while maintaining effective and efficient accounting of cash and credit receipts. Restocking and facing of store products is also to be maintained. Store Cashier is responsible for maintaining Guest Service as per company standard, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, cash register operations (POS) and loss prevention in adherence to all Company Policy/Store standards.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Greet and assist customers: answer questions and provide information to the public.
2. Provide customer service by responding to phone inquiries and completing phone sales.
3. Collect and process customer transactions (credit, debit, cash, etc.) assist in sorting and balancing receipts and payments.
4. Prepare and record information for the computer Point of Sale system including closing receipts and balances account payments, and cash receipts and balances.
5. Prepare and balance cash register receipts daily; prepare cash for next business day.
6. Accurately verify merchandise quantities, descriptions and costs.
7. Participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock along with restocking of merchandise.
8. Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including pricing and loss prevention.
9. Maintain store's appearance and perform routine cleaning procedures, as well as seasonal tasks and projects for store upkeep.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
2. Ability to communicate with customers.
3. Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
4. Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
5. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
6. Ability to climb step ladders.
7. Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-65 pounds.
8. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
This position is for two days a week. Those days would be early Wednesday morning before store opens and Saturday shift from Open to Close. Occasionally a Thursday if holidays or weather push our Wednesday deliveries back a day. As an employee you would have a reliable job and hours, with a guaranteed paycheck every month. We do payroll once a month, with payday occurring on or before the 5th of every month. Good quality work would create the opportunity of getting more hours come late spring or early summer for the busier season.

Store hours:
Reedsport: Mon-Saturday 10am-6pm, EXCEPT Wednesday11:00AM-7PM
Please note, this job will require working Saturdays and Wednesdays. Wednesdays will require doing freight and lifting, as I will be recovering from a surgery leaving me unable to lift for 8 weeks. However, I will be shadowing all Wednesday freight days with whomever is hired, walking them through the process of freight, start to end. Wednesday shifts will start at 7-7:30am and end early afternoon in most cases.
