Assistant Manager and Maintenance Assistant Team needed to help run Bayshore Apartments, a 100 unit apartment community that sits along the Bay in Astoria, Oregon.

This position would require each person work 20hrs a week, one in the office, the other doing property maintenance, for a total of 40hrs a week in exchange for a full rent credit of $1100.00 a month for a 1bedroom 1 bath apartment home and a monthly cash salary of $1500.00 a month.

We are looking for either a team or a solo individual that can do both sets of duties. There will likely be more maintenance work then office work.

The position(s) report directly to the property managers.

Required Qualifications of both candidates:

-High School Diploma

-Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

-Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment

-Demonstrates a desire for continuous professional development

-Strong attention to detail

-Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and prioritize

-Must be honest, dependable and demonstrate ethical behavior and integrity

-Desire to learn about property management

-Team player

-Must be able to take constructive criticism

-Strong written and oral communication skills

-Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with large variety of people by phone, e-mail and in person

-Have strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs

-Ability to learn and practice the Oregon Landlord/Tenant Law daily

-Must be extremely organized

-Must be flexible

-Positive attitude and ability to problem solve and resolve conflicts

Duties include but are not limited to:

-Must be able to pass mandatory drug screening and criminal background

-Provide EXCELLENT customer service

-Give community tours daily

-Maintaining curb appeal by cleaning up garbage on-site

-Minor maintenance

-Enforcement of community rules and regulations

-Must be able to climb stairs to post notices and/or newsletters (4 stories and 100 apartments)

-Answer phone and e-mail inquires

-General office work and cleaning -Able to be on call for emergenciesCompensation package: $1500.00/month plus 1 bedroom 1 bath unit ($1100.00 full rent credit).

This position offers on-site living in a smoke free community. This position is 20hrs each, or 40hrs for one person. Offer of employment contingent on successfully passing nationwide criminal background check, credit check for rental history, and pre-employment drug screening.
