Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team. Based in Newport, Oregon, the role involves comprehensive management of financial records, preparation of financial reports, and regular account reconciliation. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements Assist in audit preparations by maintaining and providing necessary financial records Execute account reconciliation tasks including balance sheet and bank reconciliations Handle the processing and recording of journal entries in the general ledger Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis Conduct month-end close procedures efficiently Leverage knowledge of governmental accounting in managing financial tasks Prepare board reports and facilitate management review of financial statements.Requirements Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required Should be adept at performing Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger management is necessary Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries is crucial Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel Expected to handle Month End Close tasks efficiently Knowledge and experience in Governmental Accounting is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
