Log Scaler with 12+ months of experience wanted. Willing to train the right person. Pay is $28-$30 an hour, depending on experience. Training wage is $20.00 and hour and increases to $24.00 when certified. Hours are anytime between 6am-5pm M-F. We offer full benefits, including matching 401k, medical/dental/vision insurance.
Essential Duties:
Weighs incoming and outgoing shipments for the sawmill
Enters data into the computer system
Scan and review logs for measurements
Responsible for placing identifying information on the material upon arrival at the plant site
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against Scaler Information Sheets and/or S29(US Forest Service)
Communicate with supervisor or customers and foresters on log quality and scaling issues
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Work location in the Sweet Home area.
